Description
Article no.: TB49
Many people have problems with thick, bulky moss on their roof. This can damage the roof's coating in several ways and prevent rainwater from running off the roof as it should. The moss can freeze in winters and crack the tiles. The TS3 roof brush is an effective tool for sweeping and scraping thick, bulky moss and other debris from roofs.
The Taksopen TS3 complete package for 2 copper roof tiles includes;
1 Taksopen TS3; Aluminum frame 56 cm wide with 4 blue brushes consisting of aluminum profiles inside specially made blue foam rubber brushes and conically threaded, turned and welded aluminum shaft bracket. The brushes are interchangeable and can be moved sideways so that you can easily set them for the roof you are going to sweep; two-cup, plastic roof, metal roof, etc.
4 white and extra hard foam rubber brushes, item no. TB03 (NOTE: the link goes to the article with 6 brushes)
3 different shaped scrapers (see also picture here) Choose the one that suits the roof you are going to sweep/scrape. With the black plastic scrapers / roof scraper on the top, you can scrape the moss where it is stuck harder, for example where the tiles overlap. You work and alternate both with the foam rubber brushes and the scraper on the top.
1 straight plastic scraper for flat roofs and own design, item no. TB27.
1 x 4-piece telescopic handle 8 meters in aluminum with conical brass adapter, item no. 12030 and twist lock, item no. 12013.
When working with the Taksopen, you do not have to stand on the roof and press hard as you have to do with a regular piasava broom / brush. A risky, time-consuming and inefficient work, as well as expensive if you break your clay tiles that can barely handle your weight. With Taksopen TS3 you can stand on the ground and work. You just put the Taksopen on the roof and pull it down, back and forth, rubbing, turning and scraping with the opposite side, see also the videos. Of course, you can also stand on a ladder, a scaffold or on the roof and sweep with the Taksopen TS3 if you take the necessary safety precautions. If there is still moss left, you can finish the job with Tercol, which has a cleaning effect and kills any moss roots. A complete and gentle roof cleaning for the homeowner.
With regular sweeping of the roof, you also avoid the re-growth of moss that ultimately destroys your roof. This tool greatly simplifies the process of removing moss on roofs.The thin moss/lichen of 1-3 millimeters is more difficult. It can give way after regular sweeping in the long run, or alternatively you use some type of pesticide after sweeping & scraping down everything else with Taksopen TS3.
It is easier, safer and more efficient to sweep and scrape with Taksopen TS3. Check how high your house is and whether you can reach what you want to get down with Taksopen, and whether you can work from the ground, from a ladder or from the roof. Add your own height when calculating the length of shaft you need.There are more accessories that you can mount on the telescopic shaft for even more use, see for example the tab "Telescopic shaft with accessories". There is the possibility to connect e.g. snow planer, branch saw, paint roller & brushes, rubber scraper, window scraper, various brushes (the brushes need an R ¼ adapter) and more.The blue brushes that are standard with Taksopen are our "all-round" brushes and fit most roof types (not rough flat roofing felt, use straight plastic scraper and / or the white brushes instead) and especially good for the lighter clay tiles so that you do not hit them too hard and risk them moving so that you have to go up on the roof and correct them ...
The dimensions and shape of the brushes and scrapers are based on the most common concrete & brick tiles on the market. If a plastic scraper does not fit your roof, just file / saw them a little. (For 1-cup bricks, a deeper scraper, wider frame and wider brushes are required for Taksopen, see art.no TS3-1k).Tip when choosing the length of the telescopic handle: Never extend the telescopic handle to the maximum. Save at least 20 cm in each previous tube. An 8 meter shaft will be about 7.40 - 7.50 if you save at least 20 cm in each previous tube.
Tip: The blue brushes are most suitable for smooth roof surfaces (under the moss...) and form better in the hills than the white hard brushes, but the blue ones also wear most on rough, coarse and rough roof surfaces. White brushes should not be used on clay tile roofs.Manufactured in Sweden except for the telescopic handles which are made in Germany.
