The roof sweeper consists of 4 special aluminum sticks with specially made foam rubber brushes that are interchangeable and movable sideways, so you can easily set them for the roof you are going to sweep and 3 different plastic scrapers for the top that help you to tear a little in the moss that is located, for example, in the overlap between the roof tiles. Scrape a little with the scraper, turn the roof sweep over and sweep down the debris. Repeat. The shaft attachment, where you screw in the shaft, has a so-called German thread, see our brass adapter art.no
12030.When sweeping with the Taksopen, you do not need to press hard against the tiles to get the debris. You just put the brush on the roof and pull it downwards, back and forth, see also the videos.
The thin moss of 3-4 millimeters is more difficult, it may give way after regular sweeping over time, or alternatively you use some type of pesticide on the thin moss.
Regular sweeping of the roof will also prevent moss from growing. This tool makes it much easier to remove moss from your roof.
The roof sweeper is 56 cm wide and made of aluminum. Included are 4 x 30 ppi foam rubber brushes with special aluminum sticks, specially made aluminum handle attachment with German/Euro thread and 3 different plastic scrapers. The pictures beside show the new model TS3.
If you want to use our
water-bearing handle for a Taksopen TS3 or
Snow Plow SN3, you need this
adapter and then choose TS3 or SN3 without handle. You have to keep in mind that you have to tie up the hose down by the handle so you do not stumble on it. Also keep in mind that the hose makes the Taksopen / Snowplow about 800 grams heavier compared to if you would choose the tools with a handle, and without a hose, and then you put on a
hose on the outside (plus brush) on the handle when you are going to e.g. wash the facade and then remove the hose when you are done. Telescopic handles with a hose inside should remain in the handle as it is difficult to get the hose back inside the pipes. It is not designed to remove the hose inside the pipes.
NOTE: The Taksopen tool has been developed and tested together with our telescopic handle with its weight and properties. Adding other telescopic handles, unknown to us, which have different characteristics, may affect the performance of the tool.
